WOLVES ROLL PAST WARRIORS IN FOUR

Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State hit .224 as a team while holding Winona State to just a .096 percentage on the night as the Wolves rolled over the Warriors 3-1 in NSIC action on Friday.

The Wolves made it look easy in games one and two but the Warriors picked up some momentum in the third game coming back from down 29-28 to topple NSU 31-29 and force a fourth game. In the fourth, NSU hit .282 with 15 kills en route to a match-sealing 30-22 game victory.

Chelsey Deibert paced NSU with 12 kills while fellow sophomore Laura Nelson followed closely behind with 11. Tara Sauter recorded 40 set assists as Renae Sparling picked up a team high 23 digs. Deibert also led the home team with seven blocks on the night and Nelson and Sauter each added five as NSU came up with 12.5 team blocks on the evening.

Northern State improves to 12-16 on the year and moves its NSIC record to 6-8. The Wolves will host No. 12 Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. for the last home match of the 2003 season.
