THREE GAME LOSS TO UMD ENDS WOLVES SEASON

Duluth, Minn. - The No. 11-ranked Minnesota-Duluth volleyball team ended the Northern State volleyball season on a sour note with a 30-12, 30-28, 30-20 win over the Wolves on Saturday in Duluth.

UMD hit .344 as a team led by 18 kills and 11 digs from Crystal Nucech and 53 set assists from Greta Iisakka.

The Wolves were paced by 13 kills from senior Jessica Bates while Monica Inge registered 12 digs and Tara Sauter ended her career with a 28-assist performance.

Sophomore Laura Nelson led NSU with four block assists as Sauter added three on the afternoon.

Northern State finishes its season with a 12-18 overall record and a 6-10 mark in NSIC play.
