INGE NAMED NSIC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Minneapolis, Minn. - Northern State senior Monica Inge (Johnston, Iowa) was named as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The announcement came from the league office in Minneapolis, Minn. on Monday.

Inge, a senior libero, led the NSU volleyball defense posting 60 digs (6.00 d/g) in ten games last week. In NSU’s five-game loss to Bemidji State, she broke her own school record going 56 for 56 in serve receive and broke the NSU single match mark for serves received. In Friday’s match against MSU Moorhead, Monica beame just the 13th player in Northern State history to record 1,000 career digs.

Northern State's volleyball team will travel to Wayne State (Neb.) and Southwest Minnesota State this weekend.
