Volleyball Falls to Univ. of Mary & #3 National American U

The Wolves dropped their first match at the Dickinson State Tournament with a 3-1 loss to the University of Mary (ND) by the scores of 31-33, 23-30, 30-25, 27-30.

It took five games for National American University (NUA) to hush the howl of the Wolves. The Wolves dropped the final two games against NAU in the loss. Game scores: 30-28, 23-30, 32-30, 20-30, 10-15. NAU is the defeating NAIA National Champions and ranked #3 in the nation in the NAIA.

Angie Aadahl led the Wolves with 13 kills while Tara Engquist had nine kills and three blocks assists against U of Mary. Kellie Heier had nine kills, 18 digs, and 38 kill assists.

Laura Nelson led the Wolves against NAU with 16 kills and five block assists. Kellie Heier finished with 51 kills assists and 13 kills while Chelsey Deibert had ten kills and three block assists.

The Wolves schedule doesn’t get any easier as they take on #6 NAIA Dickinson State tomorrow afternoon.
