Crookston, Minn. - After never losing to the Golden Eagles before, the Wolves dropped their last two games against the Golden Eagles on the road. They fell to the Golden Eagles 30-25, 30-22, 30-15 in Crookston. The Wolves lost in four games a year ago at UMC.
The Wolves continued to struggle hitting as they hit .127 (26K-11E-118TA) and are only hitting .132 on the season. The Wolves have now lost eight matches and 24 games in a row. Their last win in a match came in game one against Dickinson State back on September 4 th.
The bright spot for the Wolves against Crookston, and so far this season, has been Chelsey “Never Say” Deibert. She had a match high 14 kills against the Golden Eagles and hit .500 (14K-1E-26TA).
The Golden Eagles had three players in double figure kills; Erin Flynn and Joan Ebnet had 13 kills, while Jo Hejny had ten. Flynn and Ebnet's kill total equaled the total kills for the entire Northern team.
