ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State pulled out of a nine game losing streak as they defeated Winona State 30-22, 23-30, 30-27, 30-25 on Head Coach Lisa Schriver’s Birthday. The Wolves consecutive game-losing streak was also broken at 27 games.

The Wolves had their best hitting night of the season as they finished with a .237 hitting percentage (59K-15E-186TA) and their 15 hitting errors was their third lowest of the season. The Warriors had 39 attack errors on the night and finished with a .121 hitting percentage (66K-39E-223TA). The Wolves also out-blocked the Warriors 11.0-3.0; putting back their second highest total blocks of the year.

Chelsey Deibert led all players with 20 kills on the night, which marked her season high. Her 62 total attempts also marked a season high. TaraEngquist and HeatherPudwill played one of her better games of the season; Engquist finished the night with 13 kills, and five block assists, while Puds had eight kills and five block assists. KristinaSabby had a season high 18 digs on the night to go with her five kills. AngieAadahl (21), KatieHegge (19), KellieHeier (14) and AleciaStark (10) also were in double-digit digs on the night. Heier also had 41 kill assists and was two kills shy of her second triple-double of the season.

The Wolves will host #4 Concordia St. Paul tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
