Northern State Signs Tara Adamson of Centerville, SD
Northern State Head Volleyball Coach Lisa Schriver has announced the signing of Tara Adamson of Centerville, SD. The 5’10 middle hitter will join Alecia Stark (Moorhead, MN), Emily Knaeble (Andover, MN), and Toni Haider (West Fargo, ND) as the 2004 recruiting class.
Adamson attended Centerville High School where she led her team in kills for the past three seasons. She was selected First Team All-Tri-Valley Conference and was First Team All-State Class B in 2003. As a captain and team MVP her senior year, she led her team to a conference championship and a third place finish in the state tournament, where she was selected to the all-tournament team.
In 2002 Adamson was named second team all-state, and was an all-tournament selection while helping her team to a sixth place finish in the state.
Adamson is planning on majoring in pharmacy at Northern State. She is the daughter of Gary and Char Adamson.

Northern State Volleyball Commits Three New
Recruits
ABERDEEN, SD - Northern State
University (NSU) has announced three new recruits for next
fall's squad. Alecia Stark, Emily Knaeble, and Toni Haider
will be the newest members of the Northern State Volleyball
Team.
Toni
Haider will join the Wolves as an outside hitter after
attending West Fargo High School. At WFHS Haider, a 5'11 team
captain, was selected to the Eastern Dakota All-Conference
Team in 2002-03 and 2003-04, and earned all-state honors her
senior year. Haider, a four-sport athlete in high school,
competed in volleyball, tennis, basketball and track and field.
She is planning on majoring in
International Business with a minor in Business Management
at NSU. Toni is the daughter of Tony and Della Haider.
Emily
Knaeble joins the Wolves following an outstanding prep
career at Saint Francis High School. At Saint Francis Knaeble
earned all-state honorable mention honors her senior year
along with being named the North Suburban Conference Most
Valuable Player. She was also named to the North Suburban
All-Conference Team her sophomore through senior seasons.
Her teammates honored her with best offensive player her sophomore
through senior year and team most valuable player her junior
and senior year.
Knaeble racked up 933 kills in
her career to go with 805 digs, 113 solo blocks and 510 assisted
blocks in the five years that she lettered at Saint Francis.
Emily is the daughter of Gene
and Chery Knaeble. She is currently undecided in a major at
NSU.
Alecia
Stark, a Moorhead, MN native, will be a setter and defensive
specialist for the Wolves. The 5'5 graduate of Moorhead Senior
High School was a team captain for the Spuds where she earned
team most valuable player in 2003 and was selected to the
Fargo Forum All-Area Honorable Mention Team. Stark also racked
up the second most service aces in a season at Moorhead High
School during her senior year. Besides volleyball, Stark played
basketball and fast pitch softball at Moorhead High.
Alecia is the daughter of Reggie
and Donna Stark. She is currently undecided in a major at
NSU.
