Wolves Sweep Mavricks - Weekend
Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State finished off a three game sweep at the NSIC/NCC North Central Regional Crossover as they defeated Minnesota State in three games, 30-24, 30-26, 30-26. The Wolves improve to 4-5 on the season after picking up wins over Upper Iowa and St. Cloud State yesterday. Minnesota State lost all three of their matches as they fall to 5-6 on the season.
The Wolves were led by Luciola Figueroa and Angie Aadahl. Figueroa had a team high 12 kills to go with 13 digs. Aadahl added 11 kills and 20 digs while libero Katie Hegge had 20 digs of her own. The Wolves took advantage of 29 hitting and 6 service errors while hitting .205 on the day (46K-16E-146TA).
The Wolves open conference play next weekend when they travel to Minnesota, Crookston and Bemidji State next weekend.
