Wolves Win in Five Over Golden Eagles

Crookston, Minn. – Northern State (5-5, 1-0) escaped Lysaker Gym with a five game victory over Minnesota, Crookston (5-6, 0-1). The Wolves battled back from a 2-1 deficit to pick up their fourth win in a row as they downed the Golden Eagles 27-30, 30-22, 24-30, 30-20, 15-12.

The Wolves had three players with double digit kills and two players with double-doubles. Angie Aadahl led the Wolves with 20 kills to go with 29 digs. LuciolaFigueroa added 16 kills and 25 digs, while Chelsey Deibert had 11 kills.

The match was basically even statistically, but the Wolves had a 9 to 5 advantage in service aces and had six less attack errors.

The Wolves take on Bemidji State tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
