Wolves Fall in Three to #4 Concordia St. Paul
Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State (13-13, 5-7 NSIC) lost in straight sets to #4 Concordia St. Paul 19-30, 17-30, 20-30 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match held at the Barnett Center.
Concordia St. Paul dominated the match as they hit .306 (58K-20E-124TA) compared to a dismal .019 (23K-21E-108TA) for Northern State. The Wolves were without Odemaris Diaz, one of their top hitters and blockers as of late, as she returned home to Puerto Rico for a family wedding this weekend.
Luciola Figueroa led the Wolves with her nine kills in the match. Chelsey Deibert had five kills and four block assists. The Golden Bears were led by Kelsey Kyro, who was nearly unstoppable as she hit .594 in the match (22K-3E-32TA).
Northern State takes on Winona State tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at Barnett Center.
