St. Cloud , MN - The St. Cloud State (6-20, 0-9 NCC) volleyball team snapped a 9-game losing streak with a win over Northern State (14-14, 6-7 NSIC) Tuesday night at Halenbeck Hall. They took the match in three games with scores of 30-27, 30-25, and 30-23.
The Wolves top two performers were Odemaris Diaz and Chelsey Deibert, who each had nine kills. Diaz hit .533 as she had only one error on 15 attempts. Kellie Heier led the Wolves in kill assists, but had a poor night hitting (3K-4E-10TA) to go with three ball handling errors.
St. Cloud had 60 kills compared to only 37 for the Wolves, enough for the Huskies to overcome six service errors and seven ball handling errors.
Northern State finishes up the regular season on Friday, Nov. 4 th when they host #23 MSU Moorhead at 7:00 p.m. at Barnett Center.
