Northern State's 2005 Senior Class
Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State (14-15, 6-8 NSIC) loss in three sets to #23 MSU Moorhead (23-4, 10-4 NSIC) in the regular season finale for both teams.
Northern State went on a 7-0 run to take the lead 23-21 in game one and had a game point opportunity, but the Dragons tied the game a 30, then took advantage of two Wolves hitting errors (one on a block) to take game one 32-30.
The Dragons took early leads in game two and three and went on to the win, which puts them in a three way tie for second play in the NSIC with SW Minnesota State and Wayne State (NE). A coin flip will determine seeds for the conference tournament.
Luciola Figueroa led the Wolves with 12 kills in the match to go with 19 digs. Freshman Kelsey Aden continues to improve as she turned in an 11 kill performance while hitting .391 in the match.
The Wolves head to the NSIC Tournament on Friday, November 11th in St. Paul, Minn. as the five seed. They will be the five seed and take on SW Minnesota State, Wayne State (NE) or MSU Moorhead.
