Wolves Take Beavers In Three Straight

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Northern State volleyball team posted their third conference victory in as many matches, downing the Bemidji State Beavers in three straight games, 30-17, 30-19, 30-24. The Wolves improve to 14-11 on the season and 8-7 in the NSIC, while Bemidji falls to 7-21 overall and 3-12 in the league.
Outside hitters Odemaris Diaz and Emily Knaeble led the Wolves' offense Friday night, posting 15 and 12 kills each, respectively. Melanie Perez once again scooped up impressive numbers in the backrow, totaling 30 digs on the match. Kellie Heier set up the hitters with 41 assists, and also tallied 12 digs. The team hit at a .170 clip and collected 8.0 blocks.
The Wolves face one more conference foe on the road before returning to play at Wachs Arena next week. They will play MN-Crookston in a 4:00 pm match tomorrow afternoon.
