Wolves To Make First-Ever NCAA Tournament Appearance

ABERDEEN, SD – For the first time in school history, the Northern State volleyball team has earned a position in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolves edged their way into postseason play with an eighth place seed in the North Central Region and will be among 64 teams in the nation to continue their season this weekend.

The Wolves (17-13) will match up with top-seeded Concordia-St. Paul (34-2) on Thursday, November 9 for a 7:30 pm match. The Regional Tournament will be hosted by NSIC champion CSP, ranked fourth in the most recent national poll. The Wolves have lost to the Golden Bears three times this season, but have had impressive showings in each of the last two meetings. Northern's game against Concordia will be streamed live over the web and live stats will be available throughout the tournament. Links will be provided on NSU's webpage.

The winner of the North Central Region will play the winner of the Pacific Regional at the University of West Florida Fieldhouse as part of the Division II Fall Championships Festival in Pensacola, Florida, Nov. 16th.
