High School: Adamson attended Centerville High School where she led her team in kills for the past three seasons. She was selected First Team All-Tri-Valley Conference and was First Team All-State Class B in 2003. As a captain and team MVP her senior year, she led her team to a conference championship and a third place finish in the state tournament, where she was selected to the all-tournament team.

In 2002 Adamson was named second team all-state, and was an all-tournament selection while helping her team to a sixth place finish in the state.
