LISA SCHRIVER
Head Coach - 11th Season
Head Coach Lisa Schriver enters her eleventh season at the helm of the Northern State volleyball program. Schriver has been one of the most successful coaches in NSU volleyball's history. Her career record at NSU stands at 155-160 after ten seasons with a win percentage of .492.
Just three year’s into her head coaching tenure at Northern, Schriver was receiving recognition as one of the top coaches in the region, as she earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coach of the Year honors in 1998.
In addition to her coaching duties at NSU, Schriver is a key figure behind the scenes of all of Northern’s athletic programs. She was named NSU’s Assistant Athletic Director in the summer of 1999 and, prior to that, spent three years as Senior Woman Administrator and Compliance Officer for the school.
A native of Lowell, Wyo., Schriver received a K-12 physical education degree from Black Hills State University in 1985. She also taught in Hot Springs, S.D. and coached cross country before moving to Aberdeen. Schriver moved on to coach volleyball for eight years and basketball for three years at Aberdeen Central High School before earning her master’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in physical education from Northern State in 1994.
Schriver is married to local businessman Steve Millard and lives in rural Aberdeen
Amy Veenhof
Assistant Coach - 2nd Season
Amy Veenhof is a 1998 graduate of Le Sueur-Henderson High School. From there she went to Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn. where she earned a Associate of Arts degree in May of 2000. She then attended Huron University where she earned a BA in Elementary Education with a concentration in Coaching in 2003. She was then the student assistant coach at Huron in 2002-03 before becoming the head coach in 2004-05. Last season she posted a 14-16 record and finished sixth in the DAC-10.
Amy is married to Casey Veenhof, who is attending NSU as he works toward a degree in Physical Education. Casey is also a student assistant with the Wolves Football team.
