Jan. 10, 1999

A balanced attack highlighted NSU's convincing 78-54 over the North Central Region's 9th-ranked Bemidji State Beavers Sunday afternoon at Wachs Arena.

The Wolves had four players break into double digits and 11 total players break into the scoring column. Junior guard Jammie Coyle (Belle Fourche, S.D.) and sophomore center Jennifer Murphy (Aberdeen, S.D.) led NSU with 15 points apiece. Sophomore forward Natalie Braun recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. As a team, the Wolves controlled the game by controlling the boards with a 52-36 rebounding advantage.

Jennifer Ohme led BSU with 16 points. Jodi Haugen pulled down 10 rebounds.

With the win, NSU (6-8, 1-0) halted Bemidji State's (7-7, 0-1) two-game winning streak and built its own winning streak to two straight.

The game was moved from Saturday night to Sunday to accomodate the funeral arrangements for the father of a Bemidji State player.
