WOLVES FALL HARD AT NEBRASKA-OMAHA

Nov. 19, 1998

Nebraska-Omaha tied a school record for points in a game with its 104-78 win over Northern State Thursday night.

The most telling stat to explain the decisive victory was the 56-39 rebounding edge UNO held over NSU. The Wolves were ranked nationally last season in rebounding margin, but couldn't control the boards against the Mavericks.

Junior guard Jammie Coyle (Belle Fourche, S.D.), led the Wolves with 24 points and three steals. Junior guard Amanda Mikuska (Platte, S.D.) added 15 points, while senior center Crystal Bonnichsen chipped in 14 points a team-high seven rebounds in the losing effort.

Tiffany Volk led all UNO scorers with 20 points. Jennifer Mitchell and Kim Birkel led UNO with 16 points apiece.
