WOLVES STEAMROLL JAMESTOWN COLLEGE 82-65

Northern State took the lead early and were never threatened Sunday in an 82-65 win at Jamestown College (N.D.). The win was the team's sixth straight heading into the holiday break.

The Wolves (6-4 overall, 2-0 NSIC) shot 51 percent from the field for the game, while holding the Jimmies to 31 percent. Senior forward and team captain Memory Johannsen (Tolstoy) went for the jugular early, scoring NSU's first 10 points in the second half to give the Wolves a 20-point cushion. NSU would lead by as many as 25 points in the second half and was able to clear its bench to give underclassmen playing experience.

Johannsen led the team in scoring with 17 points on a 7-for-7 shooting performance. Junior forward Shanna Dahl (St. Cloud, Minn.) added 12 points for NSU. Freshman guard Carin Rambow (Litchfield, Minn.) also chipped in with 14 points.

NSU's next action is a conference road trip with dates at Minnesota State-Moorhead Dec. 29 and at Minnesota-Crookston Dec. 30. Both games are men's and women's doubleheaders, with the women's game starting at 5:30 p.m.
