Wolves Fall Victim to No. 3 South Dakota State, 95-45

ABERDEEN, S.D .-- The Northern State women saw its 18-game home winning streak come to an end Saturday as No. 3 South Dakota State rolled over the Wolves 95-45.

The Wolves fell behind 19-6 with 11:39 to go in the first and then 28-12 just three minutes later before the Jackrabbits took their largest lead of the game into halftime at 44-20.

The Jacks' extended their lead to 38 points going on a 17-3 run to begin the second half and then marched on to a lead as large as 54 points before Northern scored the last four points of the ball game to make the SDSU win a 50-point margin.

--Northern's Brooke Fandrich led the Wolves in scoring for the second straight game. She posted seven points on the night.

--Amanda Mollman collected six rebounds to pace the Wolves on the glass.

--SDSU shot over 50 percent on the game going 33-for-65 from the floor. They were 15-of-34 from three-point range.

--Brenda Davis led SDSU with 21 points.

--Northern plays at Concordia-St. Paul on Dec. 29.
