Southwest State Runs Past Wolves, 82-57

Aberdeen, S.D.-- The Northern State women dropped their seventh game in a row while Southwest State picked up its second ever win in Aberdeen in Saturday night's 82-57 Mustang victory.

The Wolves held the Mustangs in check early, holding a 19-18 advantage at the 10:26 mark in the first half, but Southwest came back strong and outscored NSU 18-10 to close out the first half.

Southwest State added to its lead in the second and held a 31-point lead with under a minute to go before the Wolves trimmed it to an 82-57 game.

--Michelle Hanson was the only Wolf in double figures with ten points and seven rebounds. She also posted a game high three blocks on the night.

--Northern recorded a better shooting percentage than Southwest State. NSU hit 42.9 percent of its shots with SSU hit 42.4 percent.

--The Mustangs held a 42 to 33 advantage on the boards and pulled in 18 offensive boards on the night.

--NSU hit just 3-of-23 (.130) three-point shots while Southwest knocked down 14-of-30 (.467)

--SSU's Michelle Bruns had a game high 21 points while Regan French pulled down eight boards for the Mustangs.

--Northern will take on MSU Moorhead on Friday night at 5:30.
