UPENDS NORTHERN STATE BY 71-45 COUNT

Aberdeen,
S.D . --The Northern State women tied a season low in scoring
on Friday as Minnesota-Duluth handed the Wolves a 71-45 home
loss in Wachs Arena.
The
Wolves trailed by as many as 19 in the first half before the
Bulldogs brought a 36-20 lead into the halftime break.
UMD
came out and opened up with a 21-6 run to begin the second
and dash all hopes of an NSU comeback leading by 32 before
NSU finished the game on a 6-0 spurt.
Liza
Sizer was the only Wolf to hit double-figures with ten in
the game. Amanda Mollman pulled down seven rebounds to lead
the team on the night.
UMD
was led by 20 points and nine rebounds by Lindsey Dietz while
Kim Toewe posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards.
NSU
shot just 30 percent from the floor on the night while UMD
hit at a 36.9 percent clip and was 8-of-20 (.400) from three-point
range.
NSU
(4-11, 2-5 NSIC) hosts Bemidji State on Saturday night at
5:30 p.m. in NSU's Wachs Arena.
