WOLVES OFFENSE SOARS IN 100-63 WIN OVER BEMIDJI STATE

Aberdeen, S.D . -- The Northern State women's basketball team ran up a season high 100 points in its 100-63 victory over Bemidji State on Saturday night.

Northern jumped out to a ten-point lead with 8:16 to play in the first and poured on the offense from there, taking a 57-31 lead into halftime.

Northern kept ahold of its lead and extended it to as many as 41 before ending the game up by a 100-63 count.

Northern's offense remained balanced throughout the night as the Wolves were paced by Carin Rambow's 14 points on 5-of-8 from the floor. Five other Wolves scored in double-figures on the night including Melissa Braaten (13), Brooke Fandrich (11), Amanda Mollman (10), Liza Sizer (10) and Tia Michalski (10). In all, 12 NSU players scored in the contest.

Amanda Mollman paced NSU on the boards with ten while Rambow dished out a game high four assists.

Northern State owned the boards gaining a 56-28 advantage on the glass on the night.

Northern State shot at a season-high pace of just over 59 percent (39-of-66) from the floor. The Wolves were 8-of-20 from three-point range on the night as well.

Northern State will get a chance to take the court again soon when they travel to Jamestown for a Monday night meeting with Jamestown College.
