WOLVES
LOOK SHARP IN HOME OPENER
ABERDEEN,
SD - The Northern State women were in mid-season form in a 88-48
blowout over Jamestown College on Tuesday night in the Barnett Center.
The
Wolves jumped out to a 13-point halftime lead and outscored the
Jimmies 28-5 in the first ten minutes of the second half to put
the game out of reach.
NSU
freshman Carolin Becker paced the home team offensively with 16
points on 7-of-11 shooting while senior forward Amanda Mollman ripped
down a career high 12 rebounds to lead the squad.
Michelle
Hanson and Carin Rambow chipped in 15 and 12 points, respectively
to round out the Wolves in double-figures.
The
Wolves shot 50 percent on the night while holding the Jimmies to
just a 30 percent night. JC also struggled from the charity stripe
hitting just 12-of-25 (.480) on the evening.
Northern
State (2-1) will travel to the UNK Thanksgiving Tournament where
they will face Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday and Nebraska-Kearney
on Saturday.
