WOLVES HAVE NO TROUBLE HANDLING BSU

Carin Rambow moved into NSU's Top 25 in Career Scoring with a 14-point performance on Tuesday.

Bemidji, Minn. - Northern State used a 17-0 first half run en route to a 77-53 blowout over Bemidji State on Tuesday night in league action on the road.

The Wolves trailed by three points with 8:42 to play in the first half and led by two just a minute and a half later before hitting for 17 unanswered points to go into the halftime break up 46-26.

The Wolves then put things on cruise control in the second half, not letting the Beavers get any closer than 16 for the rest of the game and put BSU away by a 77-53 final.

The Wolves shot their season high from the field and from the free throw line knocking down 27-of-50 (.540) from the floor and 20-of-23 (.870) from the charity stripe.

The Wolves also showed why they led the NSIC in rebounding, gaining a 43 to 20 advantage on the boards on the night.

Individually, Michelle Hanson netted her fourth double-double of the year and her second in a row with 15 points and ten rebounds. Freshman Carolin Becker added a nine-point night and matched Hanson for a game high ten boards, as well.

Also in double-figures for the Wolves were Carin Rambow with 14 points and Sara Jensen with ten. Rambow also added team highs with four assists and four steals and, with her 14 points surged into the NSU Top 25 in career scoring with 903 all-time points.

The Wolves improve to 7-6 on the season and are 2-0 in Northern Sun play and will face rival SW Minnesota State on Friday night in the beginning of a five-game homestand in Wachs Arena.
