Quick UMD Start Too Much For Wolves

DULUTH, MN - The women's basketball team found themselves in the midst of a 15-2 Duluth run to start the game at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth, MN on Saturday. The Wolves would strike first on a jumper by Carin Rambow, and then the Bulldogs would regain the lead and would the Wolves would never lead throughout the remainder of the contest.

The Wolves were led by Freshman Carolin Becker and Sophomore Ali Chmielewski. Becker scored a team high 14 points and grabbed a team high six rebounds. Second in both catagories was Chmielewski with 11 points and four rebounds.

The Bulldogs were paced by Tanysha Scott and Katie Pavlich who both contributed 20 points. On the glass, the Bulldogs were led by Lindsey Dietz who had eight total rebounds.

With Northern losing it now places both the Wolves and Bulldogs at a 8-6 conference record. The Wolves will be back in action next Friday when they conclude NSIC play in Concordia-St. Paul and then on Saturday in Winona. Game time for both games is 6:00 pm.
