Wolves Jump All Over Jamestown

Jamestown, N.D. – Northern State destroyed Jamestown College 83-48 in a non-conference affair as they continued their eight game road stretch to open the season. The Wolves opened up a 17-3 lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 43-18 halftime lead and their fifth win in six contests.

The Wolves were unstoppable as they hit 57% (32-56) shots from the field. They also hit 67% (6 of 9) of their shots from beyond the arc and 13 of 16 of their free throws. The Wolves continued to own the glass as they grabbed 45 rebounds, compared to 28 from the Jimmies.

Michelle Hansen (Sr., F/C, Fargo, N.D.) scored a game high 17 points while Miranda Boepple (So., F, Dickinson, N.D.) was a rebound shy of her first career double-double as she netted 11 and grabbed nine boards. The Wolves leading scorer, Noelle Hall (Fr., C, Altura, Minn.) was held to a season low six points and four rebounds.

The Wolves defense halted the Jimmie attack, holding them to 26% (15-58) shooting and a despondent 5 of 24 (21%) from three-point range.

The Wolves stay in North Dakota as they take on the Fight Sioux on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
