Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State’s Noelle Hall missed a late free throw that would have tied her career high and had to settle for 22 points as she lead the Wolves to a 64-58 win over Winona State. The Wolves improve to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in the NSIC, while Winona falls to 3-15 overall and 1-4 in the NSIC.
The Wolves were able to get the win even though they were a dismal 1 of 16 (6.3%) from three-point range in the game, including 0 for 10 in the first half. The Wolves also struggle a bit at the free throw line as they hit only 15 of 22 (68.2) attempts.
The Wolves dominated in the paint as they scored 32 down low. They also took advantage of 14 Warrior turnovers, turning them into 24 points. The Wolves turned the ball of over a season low six times in the game
Noelle Hall (Fr., C, Altura, Minn.) led all scored with her 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting, as she was the only Wolves to score in double figures. Hall did reach career highs in field goals take and field goals made.
