St. Paul, Minn. -Northern State committed 21 turnovers that were turned into 25 points as Concordia St. Paul downed the Wolves 84-65 at Gangelhoff Center. Noelle Hall led all scorers with 21 points, but the Wolves missed seven three throws and took 18 fewer shots from the field as they fall to 13-9, 5-4 in the NSIC. The Golden Bears take a one game lead over the Wolves as they improve to 16-6, 6-3 in the NSIC after splitting the season series with the Wolves.
The Wolves were within a point at 28-27 with six minutes to go in the first half before the Golden Bears when on a 12-4 run to lead 40-31 at the half. The Wolves hit only one of seven three points in the first half and committed ten turnovers.
The Golden Bears came out fast in the second half as they went on a 19-5 run over the first seven minutes to put the game away.
Noelle Hall (Fr., C, Altura, Minn.) was 9 of 12 from the field including hitting her first collegiate three pointer on her way to a game high 21 points. Hall was the only Wolf to score in double figures; the next closest was Michelle Bratten (R-So, G, Stillwater, Minn.) who scored a season high nine points in 17 minutes of play.
The Wolves take on Winona State on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. in Winona, Minn.
