Hall Named NSIC Freshman of the Year

St. Paul, Minn. – Northern State’s Noelle Hall was selected as the 2004-05 NSIC Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year. Hall, a center from Altura, Minn., led all league freshmen in scoring with a 12.0 point per game average while ranking as the top rebounder with 7.5 boards per game. Hall also led the Wolves in scoring and rebounding with an overall average of 11.8 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game. Hall was also named to the 2004-05 NSIC Women’s Basketball All-Conference third team.

Sizer Named Third Team All-Conference

Liza SizerNorthern State point guard Liza Sizer (Sr., Miller, S.D.) was named to the NSIC All-Conference Third Team. Sizer, a starter in all 27 games, led the NSIC in three-point field goal percentage as she has connected 38 of 83 (45.8%) of her shots from beyond the arc.

She also was second on the team in assist (77), third in steals (27) and fifth in scoring with 8.7 points per game.

Sizer finishes will finish her career at Northern State playing in nearly 100 games (could reach 100 if Wolves win NSIC Tournament) and over 600 points scored.

Northern State will take on regular season NSIC Champion MSU Moorhead on Saturday, March 5th at 4:00 p.m. in Moorhead, Minn. in the NSIC Red Baron Women's Basketball Tournament Semifinals. The Wolves are currently 17-11 on the season and finished fourth in the NSIC with an 8-6 record.
