Becker and Hall Record Double Doubles in Win over MSU Moorhead
Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State (15-3, 6-1 NSIC) led the entire way as they defeat MSU Moorhead (11-8, 5-2 NSIC) 68-55 at the Barnett Center. The Wolves were led by Noelle Hall and Carolin Becker who both recorded double doubles in the game. The Wolves now move into sole possession of second place in the NSIC, trailing Wayne State (NE) by a game.
Carolin Becker (Jr., F, Beulah, N.D.) was a beast on the boards as she grabbed a career high 15 rebounds and scored 12 points. Becker also tied a career high with four blocked shots in the game. Noelle Hall (So., C, Altura, Minn.) scored a game high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds of her own in the game.
Other Wolves in double figure scoring were Miranda Boepple (Jr., F, Dickinson, N.D.) and Sara Jensen (Sr., G, South Shore, S.D.) who both scored 14. Boepple surpassed 500 points in her career at NSU.
The Wolves and Dragons combined for 100 rebounds in the game, with the Wolves holding a small edge at 51 to 49. On the offensive end the Dragons held a 16 to 12 edge.
MSU Moorhead did not take advantage of their 22 free throws as they connected on only 13 (59%). The Wolves were 18 of 23 (78%) from the stripe.
