High School: As a sophomore Cassie earned all-conference honors and was voted most valuable offensive player by her team.  As a junior Cassie was the captain of her team and averaged 11 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 3.4 steals.  She also earned all-conference honors, was voted most valuable player by her teammates, and was named to the All-Metro Defensive second  team.  Cassie will be captain of her team again her senior season at Smiley.  Braaten also plays softball and as a junior she earned all -conference honors and was voted most valuable player by her teammates.
