High School: Is a 2006 graduate of Aberdeen Central High School … Was a four-time letterwinner in volleyball, basketball, and track … Named All-Conference her junior and senior years … Made the State All-Tournament team her junior and senior years … All-State athlete … Served as team captain … Was a two-time All-Conference and All-State athlete in volleyball … Made the All-Area team … Named the 2006 SDAA Miss Volleyball … Also ran track, where she made the All-Conference and All-State teams … Was named Female Athlete of the Year at Aberdeen Central.

Personal: Born on April 17, 1988 to parents Julie and Scott Kusler of Aberdeen, SD … has two siblings, Adam and Ali … her father, uncle (Jay), and aunt (Connie) all played basketball at Northern State … her greatest sports moment was beating rival Mitchell in the State semifinals her sophomore year, breaking a 16-game losing streak with them … received several awards, including the Shaun Hansen Award, the Keystone Award in Leadership, and the US Marines’ Distinguished Athlete Award … Special Olympics volunteer … enjoys working and coaching at youth volleyball camps.
