Northern State Wrestling Sign Five For 2006
ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State head wrestling coach Patrick Timm has announced the signing of five student-athletes to the 2006-07 team. Dustin Bonn (Aberdeen, S.D.), Corbin Surat (Aberdeen, S.D.), David Schiley (Webster, S.D.), Jade Cowan (Pierre, S.D.), and Brandon Hudiburgh (Grand Island, Neb.) are the newest members of the Northern State Wrestling team. Northern State’s Hockley Selected for NCAA Leadership Conference

Northern State wrestler Jesse Hockley (R-So., HWT, Sturgis, S.D.) was recently selected as one of 352 student-athletes to participate in the 2006 NCAA Leadership Conference. The NCAA Leadership Conference is a part of the CHAMPS/Lifeskills program which was founded in 1996.
Hockley is a member of the Northern State Student Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) and wrestles as a heavyweight for the Wolves grappling squad. Full Story

Wolves end Season at Regional
Omaha, Neb.- The Northern State University Wolves season ended on Sunday as they were unable to qualify anyone for the National Tournament.
The best chance for the Wolves to qualify was with Dana Dargatz at 157, Todd Naasz at 197 and Jess Hockley at HWT. These three wrestlers ended up finishing in fifth place and they take the top four to Nationals.
Dana Dargatz lost a tough match to Minnesota State Moorhead's Kyle Tout 3-2 in a true fourth-place match. Naasz was unable to get into the third place match as he lost a 3-2 match to Minnesota State Mankato's Ben Janike and Upper Iowa's Brian Black pinned Hockley in a true fourth-place bout. Full Story
