WOLVES RANKED 19TH IN PRESEASON NCAA DIVISION II WRESTLING COACHES ASSOCIATION PRESEASON POLL
The Northern State Wrestling team received its highest preseason ranking as they came in tied for 19th place in NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Preseason Poll.
The Wolves also had two individuals ranked in the preseason poll. Jamie Andersh, (5’10, So., Rapid City, S.D.) was ranked sixth in the 141 pound class while Andy Sinclair (6’0, So., Gregory, S.D.) was seventh in the 174 pound class. Sinclair was a national qualifier last year while Andersh is a retuning All-American for the Wolves.
“I am excited for our program and wrestlers to be ranked in the top 20. I believe that this is the first time we have cracked the polls this early in the season. I feel that the ranking shows how far the program has come and how hard our student-athletes work to get better,” commented Head Coach Pat Timm.
Wolves season opener will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 9:00 am in Brookings, S.D. at the South Dakota State Invite.
