Amber Rae Bryant takes over as Head Athletic Trainer at Northern State University after five years as an Assistant. Amber Rae graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2001 with a degree in Athletic Training and received her Master of Science degree in Education from Northern State University in August 2002. She is employed through Avera St. Luke’s. Amber Rae and her husband, Toby, have two daughters, Tevan and Dessa and reside in Aberdeen.

Sean Duffy, ATC, moved to Aberdeen from Sioux Falls in October, 2006 after accepting a position with Avera St. Luke's. Sean is a recent graduate of South Dakota State University where he received his B.S. while majoring in Athletic Training, working predominantly with the SDSU men's basketball team. Sean and his wife, Cassie, have a son Declan and are expecting their second child in August.

Lindsey Swenson graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2006 with a degree in Athletic Training. She is currently working toward her Master of Science degree in Education from Northern State University. She is the primary athletic trainer for women's soccer and women's basketball. Lindsey and her husband, Mike, live in Aberdeen.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

Northern State University requires all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics to pay any medical costs associated with an athletic injury. Requiring the student-athlete to provide evidence of insurance coverage prior to participation enforces this requirement. You must have proof of insurance on file in the athletic training room before you will be allowed to participate in athletic practice or competition.
THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF INSURANCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED:
IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE ABOVE TYPES OF INSURANCE, YOU MUST OBTAIN A POLICY THAT WILL FULLY COVER YOU FOR ROUTINE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE IN THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA.
NSU HAS A NCAA CATASTROPHIC POLICY IN EFFECT THAT COVERS ALL EXPENSES ABOVE $75,000.
