History
The Wolves Challenge was started
in the summer of 2003. Coach Budig wanted to incorporate a
college training atmosphere with high school athletes.
The Wolves Challenge has seen
about 100 athletes in the past 3 years.
Area
athletes have achieved honors such as all-conference, all-state, elite 45 football
players, and state champion football team Roncalli Caviliers in 2005.
17 players on the 2005 Roncalli
championship football team trained with Coach B in the Wolves Challenge.
Coach B not only gets results
physically, but also mentally. Every week there is a character
attribute that is taught and is the primary focus for that week.
A few of the character traits that
have been mentioned are: character, attitude, giving, leadership,
motivation, and unselfishness.
The Wolves Challenge is sponsored
by Pepsi, and all athletes receive free water and Gatorade during each
workout session.
All athletes get one on one
evaluation and nutritional guidelines.
Each athlete is supplied with
their workouts and can continue after camp is over.
