Korrodi, Olson Receive Player of the Week Honors

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - Northern State’s Toby Korrodi (San Antonio, Tex.) and Owen Olson (Denver, Colo.) were honored as this week’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively.

Korrodi, a 6-4, 220-pound, redshirt freshman, threw for a school record 502 yards and four touchdowns in Northern State’s 59-52 loss to

Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday. Korrodi was an impressive 31-for-49 passing in the game in his record setting performance. On the year, Korrodi has thrown for 2,134 yards (304.9 y/g) and 21 touchdowns.

Olson

Olson, a 5-11, 185-pound, senior, went 4-for-4 in field goals and averaged 42.2 yards per punt on Saturday. Olson’s field goals were from yardages of 22, 22, 27 and 35 yards. On the season, Olson 14-of-16 field goals and averaged 37.2 yards per punt. Olson ranks second on the team in scoring with 68 points on the year. This marks the fourth time this season that Olson has won the award.

Northern State, 5-2, 3-1 NSIC, will host Bemidji State on Saturday in the Wolves’ final home game of the year.
