Naasz Takes Third At DWU Open

MITCHELL, S.D. - Senior Todd Naasz took third place in the 197 weight class at the Dakota Wesleyan Open on November 10, 2007. He was the top finisher for the Wolves on the day. The Northern wrestling team hosts Dakota Wesleyan and Sioux Falls College on November 28 at 5:00 p.m. in Wachs Arena.
Naasz (Sr., Mobridge, S.D.) went 3-1 on the day en route to his third place finish. His only loss went to Ty Copsey of Augustana College in the fourth round of matches. Copsey defeated Naasz 8-5 and was the runner-up in the Open.
Also placing well for the Wolves on the day was Dave Schiley (So., Webster, S.D.) and Dustin Bonn (So., Aberdeen, S.D.), each of whom took sixth place in their weight classes. At the 141-lb division, Schiley finished the day with a 3-2 record. Bonn also went 3-2 on the day to take sixth place in the 157-lb class.
Northern State University (located in Aberdeen, SD) is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
