ASSESSMENTS and RESOURCES
Updated 7-16-2008
Several different types of assessments are available to help you gather information about yourself and possible career options. Most are available through the Career Development & Placement Center by appointment. Some are also available on-line either free or paid by credit card. If you wish to utilize the free counseling and consultation provided by our office, just call or appointment. The following types of assessment are available to current students: interests (free, $5.00, or $8.00 at your choice), values (free or $3.00), preferred skills ($3.00), temperament (free), and type ($10.00). Alumni are eligible to receive limited assistance at a higher cost, currently not to exceed $25.00 per assessment.
Feel free to try any of the following assessments, with the understanding that they are not tests and do not tell you what you should do or be, nor do they assess your aptitude. They are used only to help you identify and organize your strengths in relation to career choices. If you choose to use on-line assessments, you are also encouraged to bring those results with you for discussion as you plan your next steps.
