COURTROOM PROTOCOL

The Supreme Court requests the following of those attending the arguments: 

  • Remove all caps and other headgear, turn off any cellular or other communication device, do not talk during the argument, and do not leave during the argument. Anyone who does not observe these rules will be asked to leave the courtroom. Anyone who disrupts the arguments will be escorted from the courtroom by law enforcement officials. 
  • Please dress appropriately for court hearings. Refrain from wearing shorts, tank tops, low cut or sleeveless shirts, mini skirts, athletic clothing, flip flops, or any other type of attire that is revealing. Furthermore, do not wear anything with obscene words or pictures.  
  • Everyone will be subject to a security check. In order to expedite everyone’s entry into the Pavilion, please do not bring backpacks or purses into the building.
