BIOLOGY LABS
Each biology laboratory is equipped with a "smart podium".
This contains a computer, high-resolution overhead projector, and a VCR, each of
which can be projected up onto a screen at the front of the room. This
particular room is a brand new computer lab, with networked microscopes so that
everyone in the room can see what one student is looking at on their microscope.
These computers also have an image capturing system, so that you can save
pictures of what you are looking at on the microscope.
This is one of our laboratories. Currently,
this lab is used for Cell Biology and Microbiology. All of the labs are
currently being remodeled. When this is finished, we will have new safety
fume hoods and lighting. New microscopes and
computers are also being placed into biology classrooms.
