We're out front ready to begin our morning-long tour of the South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center! Every year we see new stuff, learn new things about the exciting field of public history, and have stories to tell. Will, Jana, Scott, Kat, Dan and Jason can hardly contain themselves. It appears here that Will is beginning to lose it. |

Here are the History Klub Kids in front of the WW II display Club member Dan Brosz (standing second from right) made while an intern at the Center. The creation of Dan's public display coincided with the opening of the state's World War II memorial. If you are thinking about a career in museum work, the Club will expose you to museums and archives, plus alert you to related internships and jobs. Maybe YOU can grow up and be just like Dan! |

Here Kat and Kari stand transfixed listening to Center personnel describe the schooling they needed for their careers and what history-related jobs they have at the Center. Kat is interested in such a career herself. While the Center person standing next to Kat looks quite a bit like NSU's Dave Grettler, it's merely an unfortunate coincidence. |

Here's Scottie on the favorite part of his behind-the-scenes tour - the war items. Just about every part of the Center is opened to us! |

Center personnel (at right) are always generous with their time describing what their jobs entail. Here Club members Jason, Kat, and Dan listen to the tour guide. Dan looks as if he is being scolded, and he probably is. |
