Political Science and Sociology-GERONTOLOGY AA

Associate of Arts Degree in Gerontology- For those who approach university education with the goal of working in the applied area of gerontology, completing a 2 year Associate of Arts degree will allow them to gain a basic knowledge of aging processes and people including a significant amount of field visit and internship opportunities. At the same time these students will have benefited from the general education exposure in the university. We also plan to offer the course work in such a way that persons who complete the AA degree can readily apply that work toward a BA in Sociology with Emphasis on Gerontology should they decide to continue their schooling at a later time.
