Proposed major performance objectives for 2003

1. To submit for publication at least one professional
article.

2. To maintain my national certification in Athletic
Training.

3. To maintain a high level of professional involvement
in the South Dakota Athletic Trainer's Association, and the
Mid-America Athletic Trainer's Association.

4. To increase my involvement in the professional health
organizations in which I have membership.

5. To promote the CSHE Summer Institute to improve the
knowledge of teachers throughout the state and region in the areas of Comprehensive
School Health Education.

6. To submit at least one proposal to present at a national
conference.

7. To collaborate with colleagues in my department who
may be interested in pursuing professional publications or doing joint
research in common areas of interest.

8. To continue to integrate technology into my courses
as appropriate.

9. To actively participate in university committees.

10. To increase the knowledge of faculty and pre-service education
majors in the area of Comprehensive School Health Education and HIV/AIDS.

11. To continue to utilize active learning strategies in the classroom.
i.e., cooperative learning, group work, oral presentations, hands-on activities.

12. To continue to improve my teaching skills through peer evaluations,
mid-course and final evaluations.

13. To continue to work hard as Academic Coordinator for HPE, to
increase the number of Physical Education majors and minors within the
HPE Department.

14. To provide leadership and organizational skills necessary to
successfully complete the 2006 NCATE/DECA accreditation review.
