Dr. Allen Barclay joined NSU's faculty in 2011. He received a doctorate degree in 2012 from Colorado State University in education and human resource studies with a focus on organizational performance and change; a master of education degree in 2003 from the University of Minnesota in human resource development with a focus on training and development with a supporting program of adult education; and bachelor of science degree in 2000 from the University of Minnesota in human resource development, focusing on training and development and organization development with a minor in business and industry education.
Dr. Barclay is department chair for Management, Marketing, and MIS and recruitment coordinator for the NSU School of Business, and co-lead for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) accreditation process in the School of Business.
He is a member of the Academy of Management, Academy of Human Resource Development, Midwest Academy of Management , and is a peer review editor for the Journal of Management and Sustainability.
In other involvement at NSU, Dr. Barclay has been involved with the NSU Faculty Travel and Sabbatical, Faculty Athletic and School of Business Curriculum committees and was NSU liaison to the South Dakota Board of Regents Commercialization Summit.
The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) Grant Funding: 2014 participant in an online learning effectiveness and quality delivery method program ($1,700 course, $1,500 stipend).
Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (CU), 2012 Jentz Fellowship recipient in the Graduate Banking Program at the University of Colorado, summer 2012 ($5,000 scholarship and fellowship)
