Dr. Jeffrey Jay received a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction-science education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, for which his dissertation was "Concept Mapping In College-Level Biology." He also has an M.A. degree in science education from Truman State University, the thesis for which was titled "Folic Acid and Oxytocin Effect on Myometrial Contraction." Dr. Jay also has a B.S. degree in environmental science and an education certificate from Truman State University.

Dr. Jay€'s work experience includes teaching science methods courses at Northern State University and the University of Missouri, and teaching middle school earth science and high school biology. He has published more than 25 journal articles, presented more than 60 workshops, and written numerous grants that enhance teachers€' skills and knowledge.

Dr. Jay is a member of the National Earth Science Teachers Association and the Council for Elementary Science International.
