Bonjour et Bienvenue!  Hello and Welcome! I love history and foreign languages, but most of all I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for these subjects with some of the best and brightest students in the state of South Dakota.

One of the benefits from learning a foreign language is the chance to experience another culture. By studying everything that makes up a language students gain a new perspective on the world.

This happens with History as well. It is important to view our history through different eyes, different perspectives. In order to truly understand history you must be able to analyze the STORY. History is a story of our past, present and future; you must look beyond mere facts and search out the actual story in order to see the motivation for future events. History is the true Never-ending Story.

I am originally from Aberdeen and I graduated from Central High School. Although I have traveled extensively throughout my life, Aberdeen has always been my home. Travel is a way for me to experience all life has to offer. I have always enjoyed learning new things, so my continued schooling is of no surprise. I earned my B.A. in French from NSU (2005) and followed up with my M.S. in Education from NSU (2007). I will go back to school for my Doctoral degree, but I have decided to take a well deserved break for the time being. I believe my thirst and quest for knowledge will never cease; it makes the world an interesting place. I have been teaching in the E-learning center since 2005 and believe technology will continue to play a huge role in the future of education. I feel privileged to be a part of the E-learning center and to work with so many fantastic educators. Every August I am happy to return to school because of our hard-working students and of course my wonderful colleagues.

I look forward to another great year! I welcome you to explore language and history with an open mind; they can open doors to a world you never new existed.
