ˇBienvenidos a esta página web!  Since the 2001 opening of the NSU E-learning center in Aberdeen, South Dakota, I have been helping the best and brightest students of our great state learn the exciting language of Spanish.  These students are housed in schools that spread from one corner of the state to the other.  As a teacher, one of the greatest things is watching a new language and culture become intriguing and captivating to students – so much that they actually dream of visiting the foreign country to see and do everything firsthand.  If you ever get a chance to visit another country, do not deny yourself.  It is the experience of a lifetime.

I call Aberdeen home although I have lived in Sioux Falls, Pierre and Webster also.  By teaching everything from middle school Foreign Language Exploratory to high school Spanish I and II to university-level Foreign Language Methods, as well as experiencing life as a secondary principal, I have seen the huge steps that the role of technology has played in the ever-changing field of education.  It is my belief that South Dakota is blessed with honest, intelligent, deserving and hard-working youth who, by seeking the opportunities, will achieve great things.  The E-learning center further helps to “touch” these students who cannot receive college-preparatory or advanced placement classes so I feel very privileged to be a part of its history.  I look forward to seeing my students as well as my own children grab hold of the “educational technology ride” to see where it can take them into the future.
