Je vous présente, LE MONDE!
One of the best things about
learning a foreign language
is the chance to experience
a culture from a perspective
outside your own. Living in
Ottawa, Canada I experienced
firsthand how two languages
can create a barrier between
the peoples of one nation,
but also how an
understanding of languages
can bridge the gap.
There are several rewards in
studying a language. You may
find it offers new insights
into your first language and
helps to better understand
your world.
That is what I think – now
let me introduce myself…
Bonjour! My name is Seth
Pittman. This is my first
year teaching at the
E-Learning Center at
Northern State University. I
am teaching two sections of
French 1 and two sections of
French 2.
I hold a master of education
in curriculum and
instruction and a bachelor
of science in French from
Kutztown University in
Pennsylvania. I also hold a
bachelor of arts in
journalism and history from
Baylor University.
I am new to South Dakota but
I feel very much at home in
Aberdeen.
